Chromatic tuner online
Tune any instrument, or your voice. Play a note and the tuner shows its name, octave and exactly how many cents sharp or flat it is. For B♭, E♭ and F instruments, set a transposition in Settings.
Tuning a stringed instrument? The guitar, bass and violin tuners detect each string automatically and play real reference notes.

Questions & troubleshooting
- What is a chromatic tuner?
- A chromatic tuner detects any of the 12 notes of the chromatic scale, rather than only the strings of one instrument. That makes it suitable for wind and brass instruments, voice, piano, harp and any stringed instrument in any tuning.
- How do I tune a trumpet, clarinet or saxophone?
- Open Settings and choose the transposition for your instrument: B♭ for trumpet, clarinet and tenor sax, E♭ for alto and baritone sax, F for French horn. The tuner will then show the written note you're used to reading.
- What does the cents number mean?
- A cent is one hundredth of a semitone. Zero means perfectly in tune; negative values are flat (too low) and positive values are sharp (too high). Most listeners can't hear a difference of under 5 cents.
